Our Services
Homicide and Suicide Clean up
After the tragedy has occurred and the police release the scene, there can potentially be a lot of blood and human tissue left behind. These are the conditions in which a biohazard remediation professional can be called in for help.
It is most often the family or homeowners who are left to determine how to clean up the biohazard once everything has calmed down. Family or friends do not need to subject themselves to turmoil, potentially infectious material, or hazardous waste.
We are available twenty-four seven and ready to start with the removal, cleaning and disinfection process of an immediate tragedy so that your family does not have to endure the scene any longer.
Unattended Death Clean up
Unattended deaths are when a body is not found for days, weeks, or months. This means that the body has had time to decompose. Decomposition is when a body’s physical matter starts to break down. It is extremely likely that a foul odor would be coming from the home of somebody who has been deceased for a while.
This type of job is not suited for anyone other than a biohazard remediation specialist. Our in depth cleaning and disinfection process means that we work from wall to wall by hand in order to remove the odor from every inch of the home. We utilize industrial equipment and chemicals to remove bacteria, and commit to hours of manual labor deconstructing affected areas and disposing of hazardous waste.
We are available to schedule appointments to estimate the amount of work for unattended deaths, and typically capable of starting work the same day. Please keep in mind that these are jobs that may require multiple days to complete.
Hoarding Clean up
Hoarding is a behavioral pattern characterized by the excessive acquisition of and an inability or unwillingness to discard large quantities of objects that cover the living areas of the home.
Hoarding situations are hazardous due to the sheer amount of personal property piled up inside of a person’s living space. Slips, trips, and falls are far more likely while traversing through garbage and the weight from the collected personal property over years could have negatively affected the foundation or subfloor, especially if above a single story.
All hoarding situations where the person has passed away add to the additional hazards that come with an unattended death. This requires extreme care due to the odors that may permeate the walls and the structural damage that comes with the decomposition process.
We are available to schedule appointments to estimate the amount of work for hoarding situations. Please keep in mind that these are jobs that may require multiple days to complete and planning before job start.
Accident and Blood Clean up
There are times where accidents may occur inside of the home that result in a worrisome amount of blood. We recommend our services for blood pools beyond the size of a dinner plate, as well as splatter or trails that may have contaminated different rooms.
Accidents also occur in factory settings or work environments regarding heights, machinery, or other types of hazards. Do not subject janitorial staff or employees to blood, feces or bodily fluid clean up outside of their job description. Blood borne pathogens and potential disease are always a risk.
We are available twenty-four seven and ready to start with the removal, cleaning and disinfection process of an immediate accident so that you can return to normal activity whether it be at home or work.
Disease and Virus Clean up
BC's cleaning and disinfection process can eliminate diseases or viruses currently inhabiting the space of your home or workplace. Here are some examples and life spans of the most common diseases or viruses that would require our disinfection service;
-
COVID-19 although mostly spread from person to person, the CDC currently states that SARS-CoV-2 can be detected in aerosols and on plastic or stainless steel surfaces for up to three days.
-
MRSA can survive on some surfaces for hours, days, or even weeks. It can spread to people who touch the surface and can cause infections if it gets into a cut, scrape, or open wound.
-
C DIFF outside of the body can be transmitted through airborne spores. These spores are an inactive form of the germ and have a protective coating allowing them to live for months or sometimes years on surfaces and in the soil. The germs become active again when these spores are swallowed and reach the intestines. Healthy people will often not be infected even if the spores reach their intestines, but if your immune system is weakened or you’ve recently taken antibiotics, you could get sick.
-
Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) can survive outside the body for several weeks. Survival depends on which body fluid it is in, volume of the body fluid, concentration of the virus within it, temperature, acidity, and exposure to sunlight and humidity. HIV transmission has not been reported as a consequence of contact with spillages of blood, semen or other body fluids. Regardless, it is not a pathogen to be taken lightly.
-
The Hep A Virus (HAV) is relatively hardy. In good conditions, it can survive outside the body for months.
-
The Hep B Virus (HBV) can remain infectious up to a week outside of your body. The virus is transmitted when blood, semen, or other bodily fluids of an infected person enter your body.
-
The Hep C Virus (HCV) can live outside of your body for up to four days. However, many experts think the virus typically survives for up to 16 hours at room temperature. Like hepatitis B, the virus can be transmitted through blood, semen, and other body fluids.
We are available twenty-four seven and ready to start with the cleaning and disinfection process of a potentially contaminated area so that you can return to a safe environment whether it be at home or work.
Tear Gas Clean up
In typical law enforcement situations involving tear gas, canisters are expelled during a chaotic situation. Even hours after the canisters have been released the air will still be contaminated and there is likely a lot of structural damage. Tear gas causes the skin to burn, eyes to itch, and creates difficulty breathing. Even after dissipating, the chemical compound on the surface areas of the home or building can be kicked up and airborne again in seconds.
The only way to remediate tear gas is to dilute it until there is none of the chemical compound left. Cleaning tear gas is an intense process involving industrial equipment, removal of debris, and surface cleaning without cross contamination.
We are available to schedule appointments to estimate the amount of work for tear gas situations. Please keep in mind that these are jobs that may require multiple days to complete especially if the areas affected are inside of large buildings.
Gross Filth Clean up
There are often situations that may not be as severe or exactly biohazardous, but are still large enough that ordinary cleaning services wont take on the task. In cases of depression or becoming ill, sometimes compiling garbage can get out of hand. Perhaps an outdoor freezer has stopped working but it went unnoticed for a few months. Maybe a property that has been obtained had squatters inside that left behind a mess of needles, trash or excrement.
We are available to schedule appointments to estimate the amount of work for gross filth clean ups in order to get things back on track as soon as possible. Please do not hesitate to reach out for help.
